Rabies 2007
From January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007, York County, Maine reported 5 cases of Rabies in wild animals.  Buxton and Kennebunk each reported one case of bat Rabies, while Kittery and Lebanon each reported one case of racoon Rabies.  Alfred had one case of Rabies in a Woodchuck.  It is encouraging that there were no reported cases of Rabies in domestic animals in York County.  For 2007 the state of Maine reported three cases of Rabies in domestic animals, all cats, one in Greene, Maine and 2 in Norridgewock, Maine.
